Donald Hanley is Extension Forester with the Department of Natural Resource Sciences, at Washington State University. He also holds a concurrent appointment in the College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington, serving as Extension Professor and Director of Continuing Education. Dr. Hanley's current tasks include the development of an educational program designed to provide non-industrial private forest landowners with the educational resources needed for productive stewardship management. He is responsible for the development and implementation of continuing education programs in forest resources at the College of Forest Resources.
His expertise is in the area of silviculture for non-industrial private forests. He is the author of 81 Extension bulletins and other outreach publications and had made numerous presentations to landowner and professional groups.
